Diana Haskell Kilburn was born in Kentucky in 1945 and grew up in Southern Ohio, graduating from Miami University with a BS in Education. Later, she attended Memphis University for a minor in art. She has taken numerous workshops and classes with many outstanding artists, both in the U.S. and abroad.

She helped found an artist guild in Decatur, Illinois, which included a guild owned and operated gallery. Diana also had an interior decorating business, helped manage family farms in Missouri, Illinois and Kentucky, and was an integral part of a family owned vegetarian foods company in Tennessee. She helped develop and co-authored two vegetarian cookbooks for the family owned food company. She is a member of the Kentucky Watercolor Society, the Lexington Art League, the Cincinnati Art Club, and Sheltowee Artisans. Diana founded a painting group based in Somerset called “Escape Artists” who paint, travel worldwide and conduct and attend workshops.

Diana has developed a painting method that results in very vivid and fluid works. It involves masking and spattering techniques and results in impressionist style paintings that are easily recognized as her signature art. Nature scenes are particularly suite to this approach.

She maintains an inventory of work in her home and welcomes visitors by appointment only.
